2014 Winter Softball Player Development Clinic at Peck School
The MNLL Softball clinic at Peck School is a warm indoor opportunity for our players (new and returning) to freshen up their softball skills in advance of the upcoming season. Bob Murphy will run the clinic each week with help from various MNLL volunteers. Each week players will work on throwing, fielding, catching, hitting, running, and pitching. Erica McCrystal, who is a pitching instructor for several of our MNLL softball players, will once again be our pitching instructor each week. Erica will work with all 3 groups. This is a great opportunity to learn from a top level instructor. This will be the first year that Instructional players will have a chance to participate which we are excited about. The financial goal of the clinic is to keep the cost low, so as many players as possible can participate. 5 sessions with 2 gyms and a pitching instructor for $25 is a "steal".

Volunteers have been working hard making improvements to our facilities. Our most recent improvements include a new shed at Burnham Minors, a complete rebuild of the Burnham batting cages including the installation of synthetic turf, and the addition of stone dust to the Vets dugouts.
Other improvements we would like to complete by 12/1/14 are:
A new score board at Vets
New (open sided) dugouts at Vets
Rebuild and laser grade Burnham Minors infield.
If everyone donates an additional $25 per player the league will raise approximately $11,000 bringing us much closer to achieving the above goals.
Levato and Sons Masonry for all the volunteer hours spent building the new batting cage grounds. I encourage all members to utilize Levato and Sons for any masonry needs.
The Town of Morristown for contributing all the stone materials for the Burnham batting cages.
Morris Township Recreation Department for providing stone dust for the Vets dugout, spreading additional field mix, cutting the Vets infield lips, and aerating and spreading sand to the Vets outfield in a effort to improve drainage.
Morristown National Little League operates with the generous support of our community. Your tax-deductible donation offsets the costs of equipment, field maintenance, player insurance, umpires, and other operational expenses.
